报告人简介：
牛耀龄（Yaoling Niu），英国杜伦大学（University of Durham）地球科学系教授，中国地质大学（北京）科研教授。主要从事岩石学、地球化学、地幔动力学和全球构造等方面的研究。他从大洋岩石入手，系统研究了多个构造背景下各类岩石的成因，对涉及全球构造与地球动力学的一系列关键科学问题做出了杰出贡献。如发表于《Journal of Petrology》（49，633-664）的论文―Global correlations of ocean ridge basalt chemistry with axial depth: A new perspective 被选为自1830至今地球科学基石经典百篇论文之一。在Nature、Science及地球科学领域重要刊物发表SCI收录论文200余篇，Google Scholar 被引18000多次（H-index为70），WoS总引14000余次（H-index为65），入选为Web of Science 2017（2018）年全球高被引科学家。2006年入选美国地质学会会士，2008年入选英国地质学会会士。曾任国际地球化学学会理事（2006~2009）、国际地科联固体地球组成和演化委员会主席（2004~2008）等职。
